Based on the 6th gen, what do you want Chevrolet to do better/include with the 7th gen Camaro?

The 6th gen was mostly perfect in my opinion. Most complaints revolve around people expected their sports car to be a sedan or touring car.
I would say front seat lumbar would be nice, and a fully customizable cluster.

Lumbar support would be great.

I'm surprised more don't complain about d-shaped wheels. Mfg's seem to be using them more because they're trendy and viewed as sporty. They do give more leg room, but only when the steering wheel isn't turned. Every time I grab that flat section I think "what a stupid design!" It's not tactilely pleasing. The plastic insert is what makes it feel cheap. Going from a uniform leather surface to a flat plastic surface while shuffling the wheels and hands yeah, not great... It's especially annoying when sliding the car or doing donuts.

Here's my solution to the plastic bottom/insert problem. The photo doesn't give it justice, this carbon fiber plus perforated leather steering wheel is nearly perfect.

That said, I understand why you want a proper circle for drifting and very quick end to end turns, I'm just saying that the shape itself doesn't make the wheel "cheap" or "premium".

The lack of lumbar support must have been another cost saving measure, GM has excellent lumbar support implementation in other vehicles.

I'm less concerned with the shape of the steering wheel than say, driver visibility or a more useful center console. The one exception I have to calling the 6th gen "perfect" is the lack of window space. The rear view camera was a huge improvement, so much so that I had my rear window blocked out with a sunshade on my 2019 and F250s with their enormous front lighting didn't bother me one bit during my usual dark morning drive to work. However, in true GM fashion, they short changed us when adopting said camera mirror by dropping the HomeLink module so they could place the Onstar buttons, formerly on that mirror, onto the overhead console. It's an option I use every day to park my beauty in the garage. Making a perfect track car is one thing, making a performance car capable of tracking AND daily driving is much more enticing. As for seats, these Recaros are MUCH more comfortable than the ones the C7 I had were, even with lumbar controls. Form AND function, please GM!

4 doors
Obviously 3rd row seating...
Rear captains chairs with their own media systems
More head room in the entire cabin
Taller suspension with 4wd
3 cup holders per seat
27in dash screen at minimum
Ditch the shitball unibody and get back to body on chassis like god intended it.
Would it hurt to have a diesel option?
Just really get rid of a lot of the sport and give it more utility.
Are you building a Camaro or a Silverado?

I hesitated largely due to rumor that the CE cars were going to be bright yellow. Just to clarify (and in GM’s defense) after the dust settled, by ā€˜sold order’, I submitted my nitro yellow build to a high volume dealer in hopes it would be matched to an allocation. If memory serves, my order was never accepted, which means it never achieved 2000 status. That being said, why not allocate enough builds to customers in line to buy? Especially given an established product? Spilled milk, regardless.

I 100% agree with the points you made. The frustrating part is they didn’t market the car or go out of their way to sing its praises. I enjoyed my SS1LE. The visibility wasn’t an issue for me, it just wasn’t a ZLE or bright yellow.
I agree entirely. I don't understand GM's ridiculous allocation system. Well actually, I understand it but to me it seems counter productive in every way. A sold order is a sold order in my opinion. If a customer is willing to put down a sizeable deposit for a custom order, then just build it, instead of flooding the market with stock orders for builds that no one wants.

And it’s definitely a GM thing. I’ve had two challenger hellcats built and delivered to order (well, not quite, the 1st one arrived with some cosmetic damage from transit and when I insisted they produce part to fix, the dealer sold the car out from under me!). The dodge dealer network is a mix of either very very bad, or very good.

C8 is another example. Some of the most popular options are constantly on constraint. I tried for months to get a yellow Z06 built. The dealers that wanted to take deposits surely knew there was no way my car was being built… Now they’re building a bunch of CE type ZR1X halo cars with carbon aero. Hey GM, could you build a few of the Z06 orders with ECF aero that sold order type customers have been waiting on?! Nope! GM really, REALLY, <really> sucks on the sold order/allocation/ supply chain side.
