I've been screaming FORM & FUNCTION for years! If some want to buy a Camaro for a collection that rarely gets driven, they are by far in the minority, most people buy cars they can afford and can drive daily. That means: yeah it can look "exotic", like A/C temp controls built into the rings...
Agreed. If it looks like this, I would seriously consider it. Kinda like their approach to backseat access with the door going a little further to the back, also like the functional rear windows vs those tiny things they called windows on the 6th gens
I disagree with the Camaro fan take to this degree, I think where GM made a mistake in the 6th gen was putting 90% of the design on tracking, great for that no doubt, but if you are trying to draw in the non-diehard buyers (unlike myself), they made their typical mistake of form vs function...
I would be ok with it, if it has a back seat, sure would be nice to be able to get to it without adding another full size door. However, we're talking GM here, if it's not going to be offered on the other sibling models, Cadillac & Buick, there's no way GM will do it. IMO
Great news! I absolutely hated the 10 spd in my 21, way too many gears for daily driving. On the drag strip, I'm sure it was great. Being able to place it in the gear you want for the situation that changes with every traffic obstacle is pure joy with the 6spd. Now, traffic jams where you're...
I'm less concerned with the shape of the steering wheel than say, driver visibility or a more useful center console. The one exception I have to calling the 6th gen "perfect" is the lack of window space. The rear view camera was a huge improvement, so much so that I had my rear window blocked...
My ideas/complaints from owning several 6th gens...
Interior: Sunvisors that can actually block the sun, 4 inches tall ain't blocking squat. If it has a back seat, can it be used by adults? A center console lid that isn't an obstacle course to open and a console that can actually hold things. A...
Good day all, bit of my background. I was a second gen mechanic for 20 years, mostly in performance shops and dealerships, so I know a little.

2013 1SS/RS Crystal Red
