Yep. Since the folks at SRT are in the āfind outā phase, maybe theyāll come up with something?
If GM intends to sell that thing, it had better be a VERY aggressively priced 6.7L six speed manual⦠And I still donāt see a Camaro badge accomplishing much of anything other than wrecking the Camaro...
My vehicle history:
1970 Camaro (cortez silver then yellow- waaay back when in high school 1986)
More recently 1971 RS/Z28 black w/ tan interior ⦠window sticker car. shouldāve kept that oneā¦
2019 F8 challenger hellcat (sold during covid)
Still trying to find a bright yellow gen 6 ZLEā¦...
Check out brink of speed on YouTube. Heās a well-connected corvette guy, but claims through a trustworthy source that some exciting things ahead for us.
According to āAmerican cars and racingā on YouTube, itāll be a sedan disguised as a coupe- with the rear door handles hidden. This sounds on the level of fake sound for a āmuscle EVā. That might just work as a Chevelle. Camaro? Nope.
Same here. I really like the transparent/ removable hardtop on the C8 coupe. Thatās a big draw for me. Tās or something similar would be great. I like sunroofs as well, but the SR did ruin some of lines on Gen 6. I really liked how that line carried from the hood through the roof.
Iām right there with you. Might as well wait on C8, anyway. One, the aero seems to be permanently on constraint. Two, I love the direction they chose with LS6, but reliability wise, it might make sense to wait that out a while as wellā¦
Best time to buy will be after the GSX hoopla/ hype dies...
Agree. If GM wouldāve accepted my nitro ZLE, Iād be done looking for good⦠nice RS, btw!
They built TWO of those because they used all the CF aero on the panther cars, I think. One is for sale, but earth automotive wants $149 for it⦠Quite possibly still a decent investment as long as itās...
Iām definitely interested in a coupe, but according to most recent article at GMA, a four door it is. Iām OUT if they bring Camaro back exclusively as a sedan. No loss, I sold my 1SS1LE thinking camaro was dead for good. Iāll keep looking for a 6th Gen Z.
Old charger good, new one? It wouldāve been difficult to make the coupe any uglier. Just my opinion. Iām torn- on one side I hope it flops. Would dodge then move on to a clean sheet lighter/ more athletic version of challenger (and shoehorn that beautiful sounding 6.2 SC HEMI between the...
Youāre not alone⦠I have a feeling thereās going to be a lot of old men yelling at the sky. They donāt seem to care about cultivating any brand loyalty long term. I started with a 1970 Camaro in 1986, and I remained loyal to Chevrolet well into my early 50ās for my trucksā¦
I expect a sedan. If...
Agree. I donāt think I can can take the plunge on a six figure car⦠$50-70 seemed bad enough. I keep thinking holy $hit, thatās $7k just in sales tax!
The one upside is if you sold one, you certainly didnāt lose your shirt.
I like your idea. I sold my 23 1SS 1LE because I couldnāt deal with...
Wow⦠Agree, despite some significant costs associated with production going down (carbon credits going to Tesla/ CAFE/ REG rollbacks), the prices are- and will become even more- absurd.
It boils down to WE are the piggybank they intend to draw from to compensate for the following issues:
1)...
And itās definitely a GM thing. Iāve had two challenger hellcats built and delivered to order (well, not quite, the 1st one arrived with some cosmetic damage from transit and when I insisted they produce part to fix, the dealer sold the car out from under me!). The dodge dealer network is a mix...
The Chevy Camaro is a COUPE. I seriously donāt get it⦠Make it a Chevelle if insisting on offering a Chevy sedan.
That said, I wouldnāt care if they offered both. Iād buy a Camaro coupe or perhaps try to wait out some decent pricing on C8 GS.
