I've driven muscle cars, and I've driven pony cars, and I know my preference...as does anyone who is paying attention on these forums. I fully admit, I am biased, I absolutely love driving muscle cars...especially sleepers. It doesn't need a loud cracking exhaust, it just needs grunt, good acceleration, and a sporty but comfortable ride.I'm not a sedan buyer. A sedan would have to be ultra cheap with really great performance before I would consider it. Having said that, something muscular more than sporty as a daily driver sounds like a lot of fun.
I also think that the majority of the market for the Camaro is older. The average age of the 6 gen Camaro buyer was 52. I doubt there are many over 80 buying, so I bet there are very few in their 20s as well. Younger people just don't have the money to buy new.
I know I'm a little conservative with money, but I didn't buy a new car until I was mid 40s. I think in general responsible people will do something similar.
