New video showing Kyle Larson burning out in what looks to be a next-gen NASCAR Camaro design (doesn't look like the existing NASCAR Camaro ZL1), which could be Chevy giving us a preview of the 7th gen Camaro design.

I will reserve judgement on any 7th gen Camaro when I actually see a 7th Gen Camaro.

This may be close, but I don't think the B pillar is located in the correct spot for a sedan, nor is it in a good spot for a coupe. I think it would need to move 2 inches or so forward for a sedan and about the same back for a coupe. I think it's where it is to allow ingress/egress for the race car driver.

That said, I am not unhappy with this. I think it could be a coupe or a sedan, and maybe they will follow the charger and allow for both body styles. I know my wife loved her Grand Prix GTP coupe and she has said she would seriously consider another, BUT...as she has grown older, she has started appreciating practicality as well, so she said (just now) that it would depend on a few factors. I loved my thunderbird coupe, and if this has the size and seating (including backseat), I might be okay with a coupe.

That said, NASCAR vehicles are usually not quite the same as the actual vehicle and I would not look at this as a final design, but more of an homage to the production design.

That said, I am cautiously optimistic and hopeful that a GM product may soon be in my garage.

You can easily see that the bumper and rear stickers are 1:1 the Gen 6 ZL1 Refresh. The only changed the upper grille and headlights.

It even looks as if they put the old ZL1 stickers on it to hide the new fascia for a while, you can easily see a completely new /¯¯¯¯\ shaped lower grille bodyline here, that does not fit the old ZL1 bumper stickers.

The 2026 Nascar had a frontend shape that fit the stickers:

Better pics, you can easily see that they covered up the rear taillight segment too

Well the body is simply the NASCAR template so no judging by that.

The DTRLs remind me of the Charger just a bit thinner.

hard to judge any more than judging any NASCAR car from just the stickers.

Well.. I Got’a say. If that is even close to the finale design, I’m Out. Knowing that NASCAR design does vary, back end looks terrible. Tail lights suck. Front end not much better. I’ll wait for the actual reveal for final judgement. But as of this moment, if these picks are close to actual. I’ll be looking elsewhere. Not easy to say. I’ve owned every Camaro gen produced. Even two of some gens. I Really Hope I’m Wrong.

I read earlier that it’s a nascar owned promotional car that isn’t a representation of the next Chevrolet race car or any other manufacturers, that event was for Kyle being on the cover of the next NASCAR video game coming out in a few months.

I sure hope it looks nothing like this NASCAR, Hopefully we see some spy shots from someone soon enough that are more realistic, So we know if we should save for the 7th gen, keep the 6th gen or look elsewhere.
It would be so cool if they have some design elements of the Iroc-Z in the 7th gen!

According to “American cars and racing” on YouTube, it’ll be a sedan disguised as a coupe- with the rear door handles hidden. This sounds on the level of fake sound for a ‘muscle EV’. That might just work as a Chevelle. Camaro? Nope.

So this was on purpose right?
It's important to understand that Nascars don't have real lights. So what people see are just stickers. They put the Gen 6 ZL1 stickers on this Nascar everywhere except those new headlight stickers. And afaik Nascar requires the carmakers to have them resemble an actual car not just some fake carmaker branding stlye. So it's definitely on purpose that Chevy gave us a glimpse of something and didn't want to share the full 2027 Nascar Design just yet

I'm wondering though if this is not finalized and they're just trying to gauge public reaction. I don't know. GM didn't just make a mistake here.
