  1. So maybe 2028 Camaro looks like this

They quit making Malibus and Cadillac XT4s to make room for the Bolt which is now getting axed to make room for the Cadillac XT5 which is currently made in China. GM only has one sedan in production and that is the CT5 and it dies in December. so hopefully these 3 get GM back on track. But...
  2. Found something in a carspotter group

did the post say when the photo was taken? Often you’ll see camo cars driving around just for development purposes. as a point of reference with car running around in Camo, if the headlights are JC Whitney it’s about 80 weeks from production. If it has the real headlamps, which this car has...
  3. Found something in a carspotter group

Wouldn’t expect either to have that spoiler
  4. New Engine Options for Gen. 7 Camaro?

you have to keep in mind what it takes to get you to move up to the Cadillac. 15 hp and a trunk don’t justify the cost. Don’t even think top end performance versions, what makes a Cadillac worth more than a Chevy or Buick. And the worse will be Chevy vs Buick. Look at the Trax vs Envista...
  5. Price on 2028 LT1

The hardest part will be if GM just makes 3 sedans here. Then they will be forced into the game of differentiating the products sufficiently so that Cadillac remains the top choice. my prediction is GM is already in that trap. now if the Camaro is a coupe or coupe-like then I can see...
  6. New Engine Options for Gen. 7 Camaro?

Alpha architecture already has AWD. As I mentioned, I’m not sure there is room for an electric motor up front and a battery in the trunk just robs space. And then you get into the biggest issue and that is how differentiate a V Blackwing from a Camaro. Can’t be the same.
  7. New Engine Options for Gen. 7 Camaro?

I would be surprised if they did an E AWD only because you can already get AWD in Alpha. And unless they do a HUGE update on Alpha2 it wonā€˜t package the electric motor/drive axle AND a battery. That being said they haven’t offered AWD in any of the V or V Blackwings. Now what you also have to...
  8. So maybe 2028 Camaro looks like this

They discontinued the Malibu a year or so ago.
  9. 7th gen Camaro design previewed by next gen NASCAR Camaro first look?

Toyota races the Camry and the race car simply follows the NASCAR template. They are all the basically the same car with the exception of the stickers. Remember when Chevy raced the SS Sedan? Still a coupe body for NASCAR.
  10. 7th gen Camaro design previewed by next gen NASCAR Camaro first look?

Well the body is simply the NASCAR template so no judging by that. The DTRLs remind me of the Charger just a bit thinner. hard to judge any more than judging any NASCAR car from just the stickers.
  11. New Generation 2027 Silverado Revealed with next gen 5.7L & 6.6L V8

It will be interesting to see this play out. Seems like a refinement than anything segment leading. Great to see the interior step up a bit although a LOT of bitching on line over too many screens. But everyone forgets when you buy an $80,000 High Country you expect an $80,000 interior...
  12. New GMC Jimmy is coming with V8, BOF, removal roof

V8 and Colorado are in conflict. GM had a hand in this segment with Hummer pre bankruptcy. So now 20 years later they may be back in. I laugh because the Bronco Sport is simply an Escape jacked up,with under body plating. I worked on a study to convert an Equinox into a Hummer 4.
  13. Vette is mid engine. How about a 350 hp Fiero style Camaro, Just for a generation of course.

As are the Pontiac G8 GXPs. G8 GTs not so much. All are, in good condition with low miles, commanding close to original sticker.
  14. Vette is mid engine. How about a 350 hp Fiero style Camaro, Just for a generation of course.

And don’t forget the Holden Commodore was also sold in the US as the Pontiac G8 GT and GXP prior to the Chevy SS.
  15. Vette is mid engine. How about a 350 hp Fiero style Camaro, Just for a generation of course.

You likely won't see such a thing. First, we’ve been told it’s off Alpha2 so mid engine isn’t in the current plan or future.
  16. Here is how I think we could see a coupe

What if it’s 4 doors but like the Mazda RX8?
  17. Hopefully Chevy Understands the New Camaro Design is More Important than a 0.5 Second Faster 1/4 Mile

The interesting thing is what configuration the car comes in. IF (and I’d be shocked to see it) this Camaro is a direct competitor with the Mustang then it will have to be the fastest just like it was before. It was the faster car n most cases and it didn’t sell. So coming our slower womt...
  18. Where GM may have a problem

You are correct. The Gen6 ZL1 could exist because it was a coupe and not a direct competitor to the V Blackwing. But IF the Camaro is not a coupe then there might be an issue of maintaining differentiation across the models. Let’s hope for a coupe. But as I suggested in my other thread, they...
  19. Where GM may have a problem

I talked to Tadge Juechter once about this. His comment was why would he want an engine that cost way more and actually got worse fuel economy that made the same HP In his Corvette. He wasn’t wrong but a lot of people love the idea.
  20. Where GM may have a problem

I always use the LWB Epsilon for this example. For those that don’t know there was a Chevy, a Buick and a Cadillac. impala, LaCrosse (I had one) and the XTS. The architecture was the same with 3 very uniquely styled cars. But the chassis and powertrain is where it got silly. For the...
