Yes, I agree the LS6 will be very good, but not for the ZL1, where the LT4 is superior,...what do you think could replace the LT4?

Not to mention they have many names that they can bring back as a 4 door without ruining the Camaro that's been a 2 door since the beginning.

Car and Driver spoke to Mark Reuss recently (link below) and not surprising he gave us nothing as gm hasn't made an official announcement.

It's been reported that you're going to be re-entering the car—as opposed to truck and SUV—market more aggressively. What led to that, and why did it happen?

We've announced the [Cadillac] CT5 return on our new Alpha platform. The rest is speculative, right?

A Buick sedan and possibly a Chevrolet sedan have also been mentioned, which I think are great ideas, and also a new Camaro.

We never stopped looking at those things. I'm very passionate about a lot of those entries. A lot of those have been great for a long time, and they mean something to the brand. So that never goes away.

keep it simple. Unless the 7th generation camaro is a perfect combination of the 5th and 6th camaro, or go retro and look exactly like 2nd generation camaro it will not sell. again. i'd rather chevy bring back the nova or the chevelle. but i have owned two 6th generation camaros and i love them. but, forget performance, thats for the corvette. i could careless about racing the mustang or nuemberg in germany. keep it simple, knobs and switches, no apple car play or andoid auto, V-6 350-400 hp is fine, V-8 455 hp is enought. make it look great, fix the beltline, improve back seat and trunk, keep it around 30-35,000$ max....keep it pony, keep it simple...

Horsepower wars are just that, horsepower wars. If you want the Camaro to sell, then the Mustang GT equivalent must have Mustang GT type power, or at least be more capable.

The same goes for the entry level. Mustang EcoBoost has 315 HP and 350 ft-lbs or torque. To be "competitive" the entry level "Camaro" should offer either better performance (slightly better 0-60 times, quarter mile times, braking times, etc.), or it needs to offer 320-ish Hp and 355 ft-lbs or torque (peak, it doesn't have to match it across the rev range).

That said, it also needs to offer good driving manners. It does not matter what shape the car ultimately arrives in (2 door, 4 door, etc.), it needs to have driving manners that does not punish people for driving it. If you drive it in Michigan, you should not be crippled driving on Michigan roads (those roads are worse than the ones in Chicago, and that's saying something). It doesn't have to be mini-van or Accord soft and it should be a fun car to drive, but the entry level car does not need to compete with a race car in terms of ride harshness, nor does the non-halo car need to do so either.

It should be fun to drive, yes, but also very accessible across most of the model range. It should not be in a competition with the mustang to do what mustangs do...drivers spinning out on roads). It should be easily controllable and accessible to young drivers or drivers new to higher powered vehicles, while still rewarding more skilled drivers with added excitement if they so choose. This can happen with various performance packs, etc.

Ohhh... I don't know, I believe it 100% matters to how well it sells.
