They spit balled a stripper Vette to focus groups when they were debuting the C5 FRCMid-engine ... No, I don't see that happening.
That being said, I had wondered/hoped before about a Camaro based off the Corvette line , a real "poor-Vette" , LOL , mainly just to get more production out of an existing line ... not that they have a hard time selling enough corvettes.
Economy of scale type thing, since performance cars are not a HUGE market in and of themselves.
Corvette purists might freak the frack out, LOL.
Much more likely to be a 4 door, in which case , it had better be a Bad MotherFracker.
Not nearly as much love for a 4 door as I would have for a proper Camaro.
I've always liked the Pontiac G8, but I'm not certain the Camaro name belongs on a 4door.
Agreed... I don't think it will be mid engine either. I was almost ready to pull the trigger on a C8, but I seen this news and now I'm waiting.I doubt they do a ME
We are just lucky they are doing another one with an ICE
Lol, shows how much I follow the Corvette news cycles. The Stingray is that "poor-Vette", I'd be surprised if a new Camaro had a mid-engine layout.
All the more because then it'll have to be a 2-seater, basically a Stingray competitor. GM wouldn't want that.
Well of course....They spit balled a stripper Vette to focus groups when they were debuting the C5 FRC
It got a big thumbs down from the Vette group and that idea died right there.
I read that in Corvette Magazine.
