They quit making Malibus and Cadillac XT4s to make room for the Bolt which is now getting axed to make room for the Cadillac XT5 which is currently made in China. GM only has one sedan in production and that is the CT5 and it dies in December. so hopefully these 3 get GM back on track. But none of them will be high volume. GM has a shot here to provide clear messaging for what 3 brands stand for. My fear is they are rushing this.

Possibly, but we also know that car design tools allow for much more rapid concepting systems. It's much easier for a single designer to churn out multiple designs than a team of designers to create a single concept in the past. These new designs can have all the limitations that an individual manufacturer might have rather than the artsy concepts of the past. The question would be...does this new process allow for the company sufficient time to really think about the cars being proposed. That is something I don't have the answer to.

This time around they should do a 1st gen version (think lt1) and a different option for the third gen version (no grill) and also have the super car version (Steam train meets darth vader) for the rich folks. the 2016 should have run for 10 years but they shut it down before i could save enuff money for it, so i had to settle with the 2020 which should have also ran for 10 years as it has grown on me and become acceptable.
