- What's your vehicle history / background?
- What interests you about the 7th gen Camaro?
- Did you come from Camaro5 / Camaro6?
I am a tall guy. I don't fit in a lot of the older Mustangs and Camaros

I grew up with big luxury cruisers and small sport sedans, along with one giant mistake. I got into cars because my neighbor owned his own auto supply store and did a lot of the machining for the local racers. Cars I drove as a kid/young adult - 72 and 73 Ford Thunderbird (I helped do almost a full restore on the 73), 81 Buick LeSabre diesel (the big mistake), 85 Toyota Cressida, 89 Toyota Cressida.
When I purchased my own first car, I went with a 97 Thunderbird V8, which was a great car and my wife got a 99 Grand Prix GTP was was also a good car. Then a 04 Lexus GS430 after my T-Bird got rammed at a stop light by a truck that didn't stop That car saved my life as it could easily been much worse, a BMW 550i, and I currently drive my wife's 2016 340 when I could not find a worthy replacement for my 550.

I am a horsepower junkie and while I am not likely to buy a 2 door Camaro, I am hoping that the Buick car from the same platform will have a performance Grand National version. That said, I am hoping to support this community so that if you can get the car you are wanting, maybe I can get the car I want

And so it begins.

Number 3 because that was the VIN of the CTF Gen5 Camaro I had the good fortune to be assigned way back When I worked for GM.

Camaro5, 6 and now hopefully 7G is just where Iโ€™ve gone to discuss great cars.

interesting that itโ€™s 7G. I remember years ago looking up Camaro7.com and it was taken. Maybe just not soon enough?

anyway,Iโ€™m expect great discussion, but also great disappointment. Itโ€™s clear GM wonโ€™t be bringing out a more Camaro Camaro. Thatโ€™s what Gen6 was and it didnโ€™t last. That and Mustang sales are in the tank, so a sporty coupe isnโ€™t likely.

My hope? GM finds a way to reinvent the Pony Car. If itโ€™s just a sedan? Laziness. Reuss said whatever it is it had to be more practical. We will soon see what that means.

somewhat interesting is GM has all but given up physical prototypes unless itโ€™s very new. As it was announced being off Alpha 2, the architecture is basically validated so we may not see the tradition camouflaged IVER (really SVER, but thats another stor) like usual. May be as late as pre production from the plant.

exciting time
