The only things we know is it’s not coming back in the way we expect and whatever it is has to be “more practical” per Mark Reuss.

The hope for a coupe is simply the previous history on Cadillacs off of Alpha.

GM did coupes off of both the ATS and CTS. Neither sold particularly well but coupes did come off the basic sedan. And both had fantastic V Series when V meant what Blackwings means now.

This would mean common IP, Center Console, windshield (they did rake the a-pillar on the ATS coupe) headlamp, front fascia and grille, front fenders and hood. Obviously chassis bits are identical as well. This would make a coupe much lower cost to execute by 10s of millions if not much more.

Now this also means a less swoopy coupe but we could still see a coupe, just not the way we are hoping.

So A) could you tolerate a Camaro coupe if these are the conditions and B) is it ok to call a coupe and sedan a “Camaro”?

I’m definitely interested in a coupe, but according to most recent article at GMA, a four door it is. I’m OUT if they bring Camaro back exclusively as a sedan. No loss, I sold my 1SS1LE thinking camaro was dead for good. I’ll keep looking for a 6th Gen Z.

Just curious, but if all these are identical, how is the Camaro going to be different from being simply another Cadillac trim? At least could the rear and the interior be completely different, or is that too expensive, too?

They can make it hatch back, fast back, coupe, any way they like, as long as it is 2 doors.
