I think the resale value of my 2018 SS 1LE is about $10K less than what I paid, and rising.

If I wanted a four door I would buy a CT5 V Blackwing, not a four door Camaro.

If I buy another 4 door it will continue to me my Chevy Tahoe's ... lol.. I want nothing else that
has 4 doors... If it has 4 doors it's my daily driver and if it's my daily driver it's a Tahoe.

Anything for fun is going to have 2 doors max or no doors and only 2 wheels...

I have a strong preference for 2 door as well… 4 door? never say never, but I’d prefer they name it something else : SS, Chevelle, Malibu, or impala.

There are charger hellcat wide bodies I’d be willing to buy. It’s a decent looking sedan with great int/ext color combos to choose from (F8 green, B5, sublime, go mango, etc). SRT gets the wheels right, and the carbon stripes are a nice finishing the touch. But, of course, they are heavy.

Full disclosure, I actually liked the way the Charger looked back a couple years ago, and it had many trims, great engine choices and flexible options in general. The two things that ruined it for me as a family hauler was the crappy interior and its police car identity that I couldn't overlook.

Then again, I was told in definite terms that we needed a 3-row SUV, and indeed we transported a bunch of kids back and forth all the time for a while, so a sedan wouldn't have cut it.

I mean, I'm not against Chevy getting a V8 RWD 4-door model, and I do support and like this plan. However, it should never name as Camaro. GM has had many great nameplates available, they aren't like Ford.

Is that difficult to call that 4-door RWD as Chevelle ? I can't believe it.

I think it depends. Is it wrong to call it a Chevelle? Not necessarily. But if they design it to look like a Camaro and then just add four doors, does it really make sense to call it a Chevelle when it's clearly recognizable as a Camaro? If they're going to bring back names like Chevelle, Impala, and others, they should give those cars their own distinct identity rather than making them look like a four-door Camaro.

my hoa just put in speed bumps to slow cars down in my neighbor hood. speed bumps dont slow down my gladiator. and they dont stop my camaro from painting the streets.

if i had to choose between a 300hp, 40k mr2 or a 40k 750hp 4 door camaro i would take the mr2.

Anything about the "new" Camaro is pure spculation at the moment, as nothing has been announced of an official nature by GM. I hope it's a Coupe, surely a 4 door would take sales from the CT5V. The Gen 6 ZL1 with its LT4 was the last of the true American "Muscle Cars" IMHO. And of course relative to us in Aussie, it needs also to be made in RHD, so that it can be competitively priced against the Mustang which is a big seller here, & has no competition.

The Camaro was a pony car, not a muscle car. Muscle cars are traditionally full sized sedans or coupes with a real back seat and a big beefy engine up front. Think Chevy SS/Holden Commodore.

It sure would be nice if they would announce something, but I think we’re screwed. Given the initial C8 investment, seems more likely they want to force coupe buyers into the C8 upsell/ cash grab phase of that production run. The $4k rebate for current Camaro owners certainly supports that scenario.

Will the Camaro sedan be a poor mans version of the Cadillac? No thank you if that’s the case. I think if that’s the plan, it will be rejected.

Yeah that rebate has me eyeing 2026 Z06 prices on local lots. There's a targeted rebate of about $7K or so, and some local dealers are sweating their current inventory. I'm thinking a Z06 for less than $110k out the door is doable.

At least I can take an MR2 to a car show /car meet, Which I enjoy from time to time, What am I gonna do with a 4 door sedan family hauler at a car show!! Even if it's 1000hp.

I get it. If it’s a sedan, 99% chance I’ll be driving my dodge RAM to car shows to look at everyone else’s toys. Best case, I find a cream puff Gen 6 Z with a for sale sign in it!
