I would rather buy a 350hp 2700lb mid engine Camaro than a 4 door Camaro. They already did it with the blazer ss. And nailed it. How many did they sell?

0 is the answer. ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was no market for a 2019 practical camaro. they literally put a camaro face on a minivan suv and didnt offer a 460hp version. as it would have died the same as the expensive four door sedan they put out when the camaro came out. it was so bad i cant even remember the sedans name.

You likely won see such a thing. First, we’ve been told it’s off Alpha2 so mid engine isn’t in the current plan or future.

You might want to get your info straight before spouting nonsense. The Holden Commodore was sold in the US for the '14-'17 model years as a limited production import under the Chevy badge with a sales goal of only 2,000 a year in order to fulfill a contractual obligation. So GM didn't really care if the SS sold well or not here. Every year, it exceeded it's sales goal and most of them was sold before they even hit the lots.

If your main complaint is the price, remember the 2016 Camaro SS started at $42,275. So at $4,000 more, the SS was selling sight unseen, before they even entered the country where as the Camaro SS had to sit around on lots and be discounted before people bought them. So when you actually think about it, the SS sold better and was in more demand the Camaro SS :giggle:

And even more misinformation. The very first year GM offered a sporty SUV, it sold 62k units. That is a far cry from "zero" and "no market".

So as everyone can see, you are nothing but a troll.

Values of the Chevy SS sedan have been holding up well also, which indicates to me there is some demand for a V8 manual transmission sedan. The values aren't in the stratosphere, but it has held value much better than a typical used car.

I'm not a sedan buyer, but I agree there is a market.

Troll? Cherry pick data and call me names all you like. You are the stereo-typical 4 door camaro buyer. I posted your pic in another thread.

Go buy a Blazer!!!!!

The Chevy SS was direct competition to sedans like the BMW 550, which retailed around 60-70k at the time. The SS was a great car for its time and was never given a good environment for sales.

Around the time the SS same out, I was really upset with my BMW 550 issues (the original N63 engine, nuff said) Chevy dealership and asked about the SS, they always assumed I was talking about the Camaro. When I specifically said the SS, not the Camaro SS, I was told by several dealers that "why would I want to drive a malibu when I was looking for a performance car"

Chevy obviously did not educate their dealers, or the dealers had so little hope of actually getting one that they were trying to drive sales to something they could get.

As a result, I dropped out of the market, had my injectors replaced a 4th time, and then a few years later had the engine replaced under the class action settlement (yeah, one where the consumers actually got a good outcome, not just the lawyers), and drove it for another 9 years before it became uneconomical for upkeep and repair. By then the SS had gone away.

I've not found a new car that can hold a candle to the BMW 550, the later M550, or the Chevy SS in terms of a solid highway cruiser that also gives you great performance at a less than M5 price. The i5 M60 is close, just not enough range and too slow on charging. I am hoping that somewhere between the Charger, the Ford Mach 4 (mustang based sedan), or the new Chevy/Buick, I will find that again.

I can tell from your hubris your are kind of a big deal. i would bet you have LOTS of trophies in womens sports.

Your logic is the same as when a person uses the wrong restroom. sure it can be done, but the people in that restroom dont agree or want anything to do with you.

in other words, saying camaros should have four doors is the same as men pissing in the womens restroom.

i get that a low percentage of the population serious cognitive disabilities. probly about the same percentage of people that bought 2-4000 chevy ss's as compared to the 20-70,000 camaros sold in the same years.

i understand 4 doors and a big trunks come in handy when some people and their pronouns load up their fur babies to go protest common sense status quo's that have worked as long as civilization has existed..

ive heard wranglers and rav-4's sell more and hold their value better than camaros too, so by your logic thats more proof
camaros should have 4 door.

I just painted you a picture... is it your portrait?

I still have more booze here. Please, continue.
