Who's in the market??? Assuming it's a legit Camaro.

I’m currently “Camaroless”. I sold my 6th gen 2ss rs. Was going to buy a new mid engine corvett when they hit the market, but waited too long. When they hit, an 80k car was going for 110k. Love the mid engine , but could I spend that much? Yes. Will I spend that much? No! So, yes, I’m very interested in the 7th gen. But, it will need to be better then my 6th gen. In a lot of ways, as that car was the best Camaro I owned. And I’ve owned a lot. Starting with the 1st gen a many in between.
Not sure if you’ve been watching, but Stingrays sell pretty cheap these days… out the door costs would be pretty similar to a loaded up 7th gen Camaro 2SS. Dealers have been giving away Stingrays for years now since the Z06 came out.

Yes. I’ve seen that. But I’m kinda Glad I didn’t pull the trigger on one because, at heart, I’m more of a Camaro guy. So now, I’m going to hold off until I see what GM puts out. I’m really hoping they do right by this car. But if not, then I’ll pull the trigger on the Corvette. 👍

I’m right there with you. Might as well wait on C8, anyway. One, the aero seems to be permanently on constraint. Two, I love the direction they chose with LS6, but reliability wise, it might make sense to wait that out a while as well…

Best time to buy will be after the GSX hoopla/ hype dies down and the C9 stuff starts leaking. We should know all we need to know about the 7th gen by then .

I tried to get a Z06 built early… but right after all the market adjustments fell by the wayside. Frustrating experience to say the least. Lotta’ supply chain problems over there. May work out for the best in the end because I prefer the LS6 low end grunt to the high revving 5.5L.

There's so many factors here...Most of them already addressed... But yes, with the right conditions {design, comfort, performance, etc...} I'd be in for one...The gen 6 never gave me the cramped, shoehorned feeling some are experiencing..The new corvette I originally looked at had me feeling a little too tucked in there and the wifey wouldn't go for it saying outright she hated the interior experience in general {on the passenger side lol} but she was a Trans Am girl when we were younger so... I've had every generation Camaro and the second gen was very comfortable... With the t tops out it was one of the best all around cruising machine experiences, I could ride in for hours...I'm hoping they offer some type of removable/retractable roof glass as an option... I like being out in the sun without the convertible air blast...

Same here. I really like the transparent/ removable hardtop on the C8 coupe. That’s a big draw for me. T’s or something similar would be great. I like sunroofs as well, but the SR did ruin some of lines on Gen 6. I really liked how that line carried from the hood through the roof.
