Based on the 6th gen, what do you want Chevrolet to do better/include with the 7th gen Camaro?

My ideas/complaints from owning several 6th gens...

Interior: Sunvisors that can actually block the sun, 4 inches tall ain't blocking squat. If it has a back seat, can it be used by adults? A center console lid that isn't an obstacle course to open and a console that can actually hold things. A wireless charging pad that the driver can reach and modern phones can sit in. 6 way passenger seat. A dome light either in the center of the roof, or two on the sides of the roof above the rear seats. Would it kill ya to add a couple of cup holders in the rear somewhere for those of us with multiple drinks in the car?

Electronics: Return of the Homelink device. More choices of the HUD graphics (mimic the Vette's), the 7th gen I owned had a perfect display choice that was very useful, but it wasn't offered for the Camaro. I'm sure it'll get the the dash wide display screen like nearly all Chevy's current vehicles. Wider rear view camera and a 360 or bird's eye view so we can stop damaging the front spoiler. Sequential turn signals anyone?

Body: How's about a trunk opening that you can get things in and out of? Door window sills that are low enough that you could actually rest your arm on them while cruising, would also help in drive-thrus. Turn signal side mirrors with power folding option, like the CT5. Return of the T tops (maybe not realistic with crash safety standards, but one can wish).

Powertrain: Retain 6 spd manuals. Many engine choices, so I'm sure we'll be satisfied, but an AWD option would have me on cloud 9, whether that's electric fwd unit like the ZR1X(not likely due to battery weight), or the current offering found in the platform-sharing CT5 V, once you experience an AWD sportscar take off from a stop, you'll never want to go back to just RWD. And you northern junkies would appreciate it, I'm sure.

With the reported intention of offering lower priced starting models, many of these would most likely fall into the option package bundles, but some of the fundamentals like the ridiculously high window sill or racetrack inspired shape of the trunk opening should be seriously considered, IMO.

Let CHEVY know what you want folks!!

Usable back seat is a must. Definitely need a 1LE version. I’m ok with everything else.

I don’t want a car the size of a challenger so we can have an adult functional back seat. Keep it nimble, I don’t want a bloated land yacht. If it’s similar to the dimensions of a 5th gen vs. a 6th I’d be ok with that, but I’m also fine with 6th gen proportions.

Probably a pipe dream but a performance edition that will compete with the Mustang GTD. Light up the pony car battle….

Don't need a backseat can remove it as far as I am concerned. Want a better console and wireless, and the info/driver info system from my 2026 Canyon so much better than the 6th Gen Camaro electronics.

Just remember the Alpha 2 platform has a wheel base 7 inches longer than the Alpha 1 platform of the 6th gen. The 6th gen is roughly 2 inches shorter than the Zeta of the 5th gen. This should make the 7th gen longer than the 5th.

Agree completely. Don't buy a Camaro if you need 4 doors or a backseat. Mustang has the same issue, pony cars are just that.

A hard top convertible and some kind of system that eliminates the cargo flap that pops onto the 2 pegs, authorizing the top-drop.

Homelink system with garage door opener buttons.

A head unit that let's you customize the display; the black background doesn't work well in the sun with the top down.

A more functional center console. The current one is a PITA - its just awkward.

I agree with most of these, many were part of the reason for complaints about the 6th gen. A number of them, especially in the electronics category,, would naturally come with any new platform. An inch, inch and a half lower beltline and the same increase in overall height would practically solve the remaining visibility and comfort complaints, and the car could still look distinctively cool, not like another Mustang.

However, larger sunvisors would block much more of the frontal view (on the coupe; if you're talking about the convertible, those are indeed narrow), sequential turn signals are abhorred by many (could be an option though), the T-Top isn't coming back ever, and you missed a few complaints, namely rear headroom and the tiny door pockets.

On higher trims, I would also love to have the electric AWD option, but the problem is there's already almost no room in the engine bay for electric motors when you have a beefy V8, and if GM goes with a DOHC V8, they'll have much less room than with a pushrod engine. The reason the Corvette can have them in the e-Ray and the ZR1X is the mid-engine layout.

Would Love to see some of the corvette features move onto the Camaro platform. Bigger 4k info screen Would be a nice touch as well. Also, include a better sound system.
