That’s the whole problem. There are not enough “Camaro fans” to support the car. If there were, it would not have been killed off…twice.

If GM decided to repeat itself, it will fail a third time. The segment is nearly dead already. Even without competition, the Mustang only did what…45k last year? With the Camaro. I would expect GM to steal maybe 15k, gain another 5k from new customers…maybe. In the end though. That 20k isn’t enough. CT4 customers are not going to go for a Camaro, they will go CT5, or head to BMW or Mercedes.

Camaro needs to become a 4 season vehicle that can be driven in a spirited manner, yet retains enough manners to behave itself. In other words…something more akin to the 2023 Charger/Challenger (current Charger is way too big). 116-119 inch wheelbase is just about perfect. 3 and 5 door fastback hatch for the Camaro, looking back on the 2nd and third gen versions as inspiration. The Buick can be more traditional sedan, allowing for a police version. CT5 has a refined version, and a fire breathing Blackwing that has 750-800 hp…possibly by using an emotor in addition to the ICE, or just all engine.

all three would have base motors…either the 2.0 or the 3.0 with 320 hp, and the new 6.7 with slight detuning for Chevy and Buick. Halo cars can exist for all three
I disagree with the Camaro fan take to this degree, I think where GM made a mistake in the 6th gen was putting 90% of the design on tracking, great for that no doubt, but if you are trying to draw in the non-diehard buyers (unlike myself), they made their typical mistake of form vs function. Take the interior, great for a track car: minimalist in terms of nothing added, not needed. But if I'm driving say a Honda with more interior space, multiple cup holders, better visibility, price tag, trunk access - in general, more daily usability, looking to maybe step up to a performance car with the higher price tag and less driver "comforts", probably not gonna buy it.
As for the Cadillac CT5, having driven a 2025 V, I was less than impressed by the TT 3.0 than I thought I'd be, it was no comparison to the V8 in Camaro. Respectable to be sure, also had a buttload more features, albeit for 10-12k more than my 1LE. The Blackwings are just ridiculously priced out of serious consideration.
I do agree with the 4 season take, the summer only tire thing on SS & 1LE variants is just terrible. Even in the summer those tires were HORRIBLE in the rain, no confidence at all when hitting puddles

First, TT V6 with 600 hp is not enough for a GNX. 650-700 is more appropriate. Why? Because the 535+ hp of the 6.7L V8 is too close to that value. There should be at least 100 hp more for in that halo car category, and that's with the weight reduction that a V6 would have over a V8.

That said, I think a TT V6 with 650-700 hp (maybe a little bit of an electric motor to boost it up) is absolutely on point, but there should also be a "lesser" Grand National with the V8 (like Chevy, Buick, and Caddy attending an Oprah taping "you get a V8, and you get a V8, and you get a V8")

Absolutely have different halo versions, so you don't just have the same powertrain and it's a question of interior and exterior, but have "economy engine" versions of all three, with caddy having slightly more power in their economy motor, but all three have good V8s and then a firebreathing halo version.
