This is what I think the 2028 Camaro sedan will look like

These are good looking sedans, I just find it hard to associate them with a Camaro. It's pretty difficult for an AI to come up with something that is sporty, 4-door yet doesn't look like an existing car fused with parts from another; this one feels like a Charger with a Supra rear and some...

Design of 2028 Camaro, Buick, & Caddy Fastback Sedans

I sure don't care and my trunk is mostly empty, although I was able to squeeze 4 carry-ons and some extra bags in there last time we moved. However, many potential buyers will want to put stuff in there, and this was one of the main complaints about the 6th gen despite its adequate trunk space...

Design of 2028 Camaro, Buick, & Caddy Fastback Sedans

I've always struggled with placing the Buick on the map, because I find it hard to visualize their target audience. It isn't particularly good or cheap or fast or elegant or luxurious... I'm not sure why GM would insist on that third choice this time. Even dIsregarding the hideous wheels, that...

More 7th gen Camaro news: GM Hinted At Muscle Car Rebirth During Dealer Meeting

You guys know that the 3LT / 2SS / ZL1 already has a third seat memory for the exit position, right? You can set it up to lift the seat to the top and push it back a couple notches when you open the door, so getting out of the 6th gen isn't really rough on the knees.

This is what I think the 2028 Camaro sedan will look like

This is a Supra with tiny windows, a minuscule trunk (unless it's a hatchback, can't tell from this one picture) and a very high beltline, a guaranteed market failure. Also, if and that's a big IF, the Camaro returns, it can't happen for model year 2027, those are already near entering the...

    2028 Camaro 4-Door Body & Name report (4/13/26)

These are probably early conjectures, but a 4-door sedan is not a Camaro. If that's all they're planning to offer, GM should give it a different moniker.

Engine options for 7th gen Camaro

It was taken down from youtube, but yours truly saved it, here you go: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/5dot03sd0h7xz2xre5big/Construction-of-the-Iconic-Chevy-Camaro-Supercar-Superbuild-FULL-EPISODE.mp4?rlkey=kk51za04ii3jbclpaw2cs7xhw&st=yf60fcoz&dl=1

Engine options for 7th gen Camaro

You're not wrong, it's just difficult to believe that a "V8 for everyone" strategy would work. The (incredibly confusingly named) LT1 trim was a relative success, and GM should've thought of it much sooner, but in 2027-2028 I'm afraid one can no longer get away with such a minimalistic trim...

Engine options for 7th gen Camaro

One thing we mustn't forget is that a new Camaro can't start at $50-60K, it isn't and shouldn't be a Corvette. In 2016, the base trim of the Camaro was well under $30K, specifically $26,695 for the four-banger and $28,190 for the V6. While this wouldn't be realistic in 2027-2028, price was one...

Engine options for 7th gen Camaro

I hope they do, DOHC is overrated and low end torque is unbeatable. No wonder so many are enamored with electric cars, they deliver that in oodles (which is also why I'd love to see AWD via a smaller, 150-200hp electric motor on the front axle). Considering the 6th gen chassis, I don't see how...

Engine options for 7th gen Camaro

Agreed 💯, I spent a pretty penny on completely neutralizing AFM on my SS, it would be nice not to have to deal with that again. Looks like at least we won't need to worry about auto start/stop, though.

Based on the 6th gen, what do you want Chevrolet to do better/include with the 7th gen Camaro?

I agree with most of these, many were part of the reason for complaints about the 6th gen. A number of them, especially in the electronics category,, would naturally come with any new platform. An inch, inch and a half lower beltline and the same increase in overall height would practically...

Engine options for 7th gen Camaro

It would mean DOHC for both the V8 and V6 offering, right? I like the low end torque from the 6.2 pushrod LT1/LT4, and I also don't think any cross-plane crank DOHC engines exist, so we'd have to compromise on the sound, too... the GT350 was the only one with a proper sound, but it had a goofy...

Spit Balling Here... mid-engined 7th gen Camaro?

The Stingray is that "poor-Vette", I'd be surprised if a new Camaro had a mid-engine layout. All the more because then it'll have to be a 2-seater, basically a Stingray competitor. GM wouldn't want that.

    Introductions & Welcome Thread 👋

Hello everyone, I just joined yesterday from camaro6.com and happy to see this more modern forum engine here :like:. I'm a software engineer and it was a black 5th gen with tasteful exterior mods that got my juices flowing about the Camaro around 2015. My 2018 2SS and the 6th gen in general is...

Sedan or Coupe 7th gen Camaro - what do you prefer?

My 2018 Camaro still gets a lot of positive attention, and the 6th gen is objectively the best Camaro ever made. At this point GM are well aware of the shortcomings that limited its sales potential, and if, instead of addressing them and keeping the car a coupe, they bring out a sedan or...
