It's all 'our source said' and they do definetly get clicks from it, I'll still stick around for the ride whether it's real or not.

Here's the first article (very first by timestamp) that mentioned this news.

https://www.autonews.com/general-motors/an-buick-sedan-ct5-camaro-0407/

"... a source at a major GM supplier said." - Automotive News - Need a subscription to read the full article. Creating a free account grants 24 hours of access.
"The supplier source requested anonymity given the sensitive nature of future product planning."

And here's a list of sources from a few of the early articles that were released right after that one:

"Sources familiar with the matter have told..." - GM Authority - They have released two additional articles with the same phrasing since then.

"... a supplier source says..." - AOL

"According to [] sources..." - GM Authority

"... a supplier source..." - HotCars

45 articles cite Automotive News "Autonews"

25 articles cite GM Authority.

Car and Driver cites Automotive News
- 4 articles cite Car and Driver

Motor1 cites Automotive News
- 1 article cites Motor1

1 article cites MotorTrend, but an old article from August 2025.

I found at least 3 articles that didn't give a source, one quoted GM Authority without credit lol.

I do think we need to be careful about expectations and rumors. We know we heard a lot about the 6gen getting some upgrades that never came to reality.
However there is more established brands pushing drip feed news and its not entirely unexpected seeing what GM previously said. Now do we really have clay models and all that. Id say its a hard sell to confirm but it wouldn't be unpredictable. A renewed platform with estimated production dates seems more in line. Once we start getting spyshots i think we can sink our teeth further. Also a lot of the "our connections told us" are just recycling what they have read and making themselves sound more "in the know" to build your trust, and subscribes.

But yes im betting the 7gen is in process.

I trust GM Authority more than the others. Every time they posted a leak or said "sources say", they was right. So if they write an article saying their sources say it's coming, it's coming.

100% what I keep saying on all this clickbait. I think something is going on the line with Cadillac... maybe a Buick sedan but no indication it will be a Camaro. I'll believe it when I see something real.
