Are you talking camaro specifically or alpha 2 in general?
I wouldn't buy a new Camaro but i would be interested in an Alpha2 vehicle that didnt have a Cadillac or camaro emblem on it.
Seems like the whole article is just a summary of this forum and all of our discussions. Like GM is running the idea through the enthusiasts first to see what really matters to us out of the next Gen platform.
Since the original camaro name was supposed to be Panther. It would kinda be...
How about we stop pretending you're not crazy, and move on. Look at GM of the past. When camaro wasn't a thing. There was this popular A Body platform. It came in 2 and 4 doors. It was an everyday car that did what everyday cars did. It was NAMED a Malibu. It was widly accepted by the...
I always look at convertibles as structurally inferior version of a better car. It's just my opinion, I'm not going to say someones convertible pride and joy is dumb to them. They didn't have to buy that but something about it stood out to them. Car culture is very broad, and conformity...
I have 3 gen Z kids. First one learned to drive because she figured she was supposed to do that. Second one learned to drive around 13 and was very excited to get her license. Then requested to learn to drive a manual so that she could be the only one in her school that knew how. The Third...
The 6th gen was mostly perfect in my opinion. Most complaints revolve around people expected their sports car to be a sedan or touring car.
I would say front seat lumbar would be nice, and a fully customizable cluster.
4 doors
Obviously 3rd row seating...
Rear captains chairs with their own media systems
More head room in the entire cabin
Taller suspension with 4wd
3 cup holders per seat
27in dash screen at minimum
Ditch the shitball unibody and get back to body on chassis like god intended it.
Would it hurt...
What if they do the non traditional 4 door like how the saturn ion and mazda rx8 was. Open the front to gain access to the handle to open the back. Quad coupe was what saturn called it. It was a very useful design for backseat access and let the car still look like a coupe.
Rwd longitudinal mounted engine.
I really wish GM would read the crowd better. The current blazer is basically an equinox sport, it should have been a big boxy 4x4 with big fenders and removable top so that it would be a direct competitor to wrangler and bronco.
The 2.0 is a detuned version of the 6th gen 2.0. So just a tune and its back to the 275hp it already was. But really no need for that engine with the 2.7.
The 2.7 is 410 torque in the Colorado/canyon. So most likely an intake and tune and it out performs the ct4.
The alpha platform was coupe and...
I said for years the 5.3 should have been the midline engine instead of the 3.6.
But i also said i wish they would have put the 3.6 twin turbo engine from the ATS in as a special edition engine. It made more power than the LT1.
The 5.3 would have made better fuel economy than the 3.6 with the...
No not really. The big takaway is the oversquare design. Large piston short stroke, it's great for high rpm power. Pretty much the reason the dz302 in the 69 z28 kicked ass back in the day.
Dohc has an advantage of controlling exhaust and intake cams independently. And then spark plugs are...
