The 2015 Chevrolet SS Sedan when adjusted for inflation was about a $60,000 sedan. I expect the V8 variant of Camaro sedan to have a $59,000 MSRP.
Base 350hp turbo 4 to start at $35,000 but most all optioned to $40,000 for a while.
Sounds like something I will want in about 4 years. It could basically be the Corvette Sedan they were designing and decided to use the Camaro nameplate and target NASCAR.
The 6th gen is so tight because of no hatch but the hatch would help sales.
I think GM might focus on increasing sales on this variant than just track times.
Biggest complaint people had for not buying a Camaro were the giant doors that made getting out hard in tight parking spots. Also low seating and gun slit windows made people think it had bad visibility.
Small sedan doors and higher and more upright seating solves those problems.
I expect...
$35,000 LT 2.7 Turbo 330hp
$45,000 LT-X 2.7 Turbo + 110hp emotor = 440hp
$55,000 ZL1 6.7 V8 500hp
$75,000 ZL1-X 6.7 + 160hp emotor = 660hp
(No SS)
Camaro will likely be a sport sedan and I would expect Buick to call theirs the Grand National.
